Watch this quick and helpful tutorial on how to quickly fix and rebalance a lifted acrylic nail.
1. Gently push back the eponychium.
2. Season your files. We recommend using nothing stronger than a 100/180 grit.
3. File below the lifted area so you can remove the lifted product easily without touching the natural nail.
4. Dust off the product every couple of seconds to check and see if you're still on the right spot (below the lifted area).
5. Once the lifted area has been removed, take a lint-free wipe, saturate wipe with a cleanser and wipe the nail to check if there are still lifted areas left.
6. Once you confirm that the lifted area is all gone, prep the natural nail by lightly buffing/etching the nail plate gently using a white block buffer.
7. File the sides of your enhancements to bring it back to shape. Then wipe with a cleanser after to remove dust.
8. Apply a primer (i.e. Young Nails Protein bond) only on the natural nail.
9. Saturate your brush with monomer, remove excess on a paper towel and then apply new product on the growth area. TIP: always angle the nail downward to avoid flooding the cuticle or sidewalls.
10. Check from the side angles to make sure your acrylic is even. Remember, the nicer the application the less product you have to file.
11. Let product fully dry, and then finish off by buffing the enhancement to prepare the surface for polishing.
